9월 말, 지사에 첫 컨테이너가 도착했다.

은호의 이삿짐이었다. 상자 열두 개와 캐비닛 하나.

토요일 오전, 태경이 서비스드 레지던스로 왔다. 짐 옮기는 걸 돕겠다고 했다.

상자를 나르는데 태경이 셔츠 소매를 걷었다.

이번에는 은호가 아무 말도 하지 않았다. 대신 상자를 하나 더 들었다.

한 시간쯤 지나 짐이 다 들어왔다. 마지막이 캐비닛이었다.

두 사람이 그걸 벽 쪽에 세워놓고 나란히 앉았다. 에어컨을 틀었는데도 땀이 났다.

캐비닛 손잡이에 열쇠가 케이블타이로 묶여 있었다. 8월 20일에 이사업체가 묶어놓은 그대로였다.

태경이 그걸 봤다.

"…진짜 안 열었네요."

"네."

"세관에서도 안 열었어요?"

"열쇠가 밖에 있으면 안 연대요."

태경이 짧게 웃었다. 그러곤 한참 아무 말도 하지 않았다.

"은호 씨."

"네."

"지금 열어봐도 돼요?"

은호가 태경을 봤다.

"…대리님이 여시게요?"

"네."

태경이 일어나서 케이블타이를 뜯었다.

It was Eunho's shipment. Twelve boxes and one cabinet.

On Saturday morning Taekyung came to the serviced residence. He said he would help move things in.

Carrying boxes, he rolled up his shirt sleeves.

This time Eunho said nothing. He picked up another box instead.

After about an hour everything was inside. The cabinet came last.

They stood it against the wall and sat down side by side. Even with the air conditioning on, they were sweating.

The key was fastened to the cabinet handle with a cable tie. Exactly as the movers had left it on August 20.

Taekyung looked at it.

"…You really didn't open it."

"No."

"Customs didn't either?"

"They don't, if the key is on the outside."

Taekyung laughed briefly. Then he said nothing for a long while.

"Eunho."

"Yes?"

"Can I open it now?"

Eunho looked at him.

"…You're going to open it?"

"Yes."

Taekyung stood up and cut the cable tie.
